E33G – Remote Worker KITAS

Remote Worker KITAS (Limited Stay Permit) in Indonesia allows foreign nationals to live in Indonesia while working remotely for a company or clients based outside the country. This type of KITAS is designed for digital nomads or remote workers who do not seek employment within Indonesia but want to reside there legally while continuing their remote jobs. It offers a temporary stay permit for a specific duration, often renewable, allowing remote professionals to work without violating local employment laws.

FYI (!) The KITAS is valid for a single year and cannot be renewed. To continue your stay in Indonesia, you must close your current KITAS before its expiration, leave the country, and apply for a new one.

Document Requirements

• Passport valid for at least 6 months.
• Personal bank statement with minimum amount USD $2000 or equivalent the last 3 months period (including name, date of period, and balance account).
• Recent photograph.
• Curriculum Vitae.
• Travel Itinerary
• Bank account that proves income in the form of salary or income worth at least US$60,000 per year
• Employment contract with a company established outside the Indonesian Territory.

Important Notes

• Be staying in Indonesia over the period of your stay permit
• In addition to the electronic limited stay permit, the limited stay permit also has a physical card available at the immigration office.
• You are prohibited from selling goods or services.
• You are prohibited from receiving rewards or wages from individuals or companies in Indonesia.
• This visa must be used to enter Indonesia within a maximum of 90 days from the date of issue.
